Vision

Lately, I’ve been hanging out over at the Independent Fashion Bloggers website. Why? No, I’m not a full time fashion blogger. However, the folks behind the Independent Fashion Bloggers have a ton of ideas to help with your blogging, no matter what sort of blog you own.

I don’t know how many articles I’ve read over there recently and thought, “Oh! I could use that information.” I normally end up sharing it with the Rocket City Bloggers group because it is good, creative, and positive information that any blogger can use.

For example, I recently updated the ABOUT THE BLOGGER page on my blog. I found the article on Independent Fashion Bloggers site with tips and ideas on what to include in an ABOUT ME page. I have always disliked writing ABOUT ME pages because I never knew what to put on there. With the helpful suggestions from Independent Fashion Bloggers I now have an ABOUT ME page that I am proud of.

Other fantastic finds at IFB include useful apps for the iPhone, worthwhile websites, inspiring blogs and talented bloggers.

One of these extraordinary bloggers is Christina Brown. She had an article up over at Independent Fashion Bloggers that captivated me. Actually, it was a three part series and it was about creating a Vision Board. Not only was it about creating one but she gave examples of her own and how she accomplished her goals. It was an exhilarating read! So much so that I went out and created my own Vision Boards.

I have one for family, health, career, and people who inspire me. I’ve completed two of these vision boards and I’m still working on putting the other two together but here is what they look like so far:

Christina’s article on IFB was about creating a Blogging Vision Board but obviously you can edit it to fit anything in life.

Some other great articles from Independent Fashion Bloggers….

The thing about the IFB site is that it is a community of bloggers who put together great content and share it with others and they just happen to be fashion bloggers. The Independent Fashion Bloggers was created by Jennine Tamm (of The Coveted) who wanted to,

Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) cultivates a community for fashion bloggers to share their experiences and create a resource so everyone can build a better blog. We do this by posting helpful articles, host a community linking group, forums and our newest feature, LittleBirdie, a platform to connect bloggers and PR in a safe an mutually beneficial way.
