2 Huntsville Designers Unite for Funds & Fashion
Huntsville apparel design houses, Josie Wachi and LeJeune House of Fashion & Design have united to organize a fashion design competition, targeting young design talent during Spring Break.
Themed “Project CatWalk Huntsville,” the competition is open to 6th through 12th grade students. There is a $35 entry fee. Students entering the competition will be presented a fashion design challenge on March 25 via email, and work on that challenge during Spring Break. The completed project will be featured on the catwalk on Saturday, March 31st at the finale fashion showcase.
Victoria Pennington Model & Talent Management (victoriapennington.com), located at 1300 Meridian Street, A13 (Lincoln Mills Office Campus), will be the sponsored location for the event.
First, Second, and Third place prizes and awards presented. Tickets for Saturday’s finale showcase are $10 per/person, with proceeds going to Girls, Inc (www.girlsinc.org).
